2 second click test

Two seconds is enough to show more than a reflex. It is a great way to warm up and to compare devices before tiredness gets in the way.

Click or tap as fast as you can. The count starts with your first click.

Tips
  • You can use your mouse, tap the screen, or press the space bar or Enter.
  • A key held down counts only once: release it and press again.
  • Choose the test length before you play: from 1 to 100 seconds.
  • Rest your wrist and alternate two fingers to keep your pace without tiring out.

How to use it

  1. Choose the test length: 1, 2, 5, 10, 15, 30, 60, or 100 seconds.
  2. Click with your mouse, tap the screen, or press the space bar or Enter. The timer starts with your first click.
  3. Watch your clicks, the time, and your CPS update live while you play.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is CPS and how is it calculated?

CPS means clicks per second. It is the total number of clicks in the game divided by the length of the test. For example, 45 clicks in 10 seconds is 4.5 CPS.

Can I use the keyboard instead of a mouse?

Yes. The space bar and Enter count just like a click. A key held down counts only once, so you have to release it and press again to score another click.

Why is my first click not wasted?

The timer starts at your first click, and that click counts too. You do not lose time reacting after the test begins.

What is a good score on a click speed test?

Between 4 and 6 CPS is typical. From 6 to 8 CPS is already fast, and anything above 10 CPS is very high. It depends a lot on your device and your technique.

Is my best score saved?

Yes. After each test, your best score and your last seven games are saved in your browser’s local storage, so you can come back and compare your results. Nothing is sent to a server.

Can this test tell me if my mouse is working well?

It is a simple way to spot problems: if a click does not register or you get double clicks, the button or the device may be failing. Repeat the test and compare the pace for each second.

What a 2 second click test measures

Two seconds fits only a handful of clicks, but it is enough to notice whether your start is fast and whether your device responds without lag. It is a comfortable length for warming up before a longer test, or for comparing a mouse, a keyboard, and a touch screen under equal conditions.

With so little time, every click weighs heavily on your final CPS and a slow start drags the number down. Try it a few times, adjust your posture, and keep your best score.
