Frequently asked questions
What is CPS and how is it calculated?
CPS means clicks per second. It is the total number of clicks in the game divided by the length of the test. For example, 45 clicks in 10 seconds is 4.5 CPS.
Can I use the keyboard instead of a mouse?
Yes. The space bar and Enter count just like a click. A key held down counts only once, so you have to release it and press again to score another click.
Why is my first click not wasted?
The timer starts at your first click, and that click counts too. You do not lose time reacting after the test begins.
What is a good score on a click speed test?
Between 4 and 6 CPS is typical. From 6 to 8 CPS is already fast, and anything above 10 CPS is very high. It depends a lot on your device and your technique.
Is my best score saved?
Yes. After each test, your best score and your last seven games are saved in your browser’s local storage, so you can come back and compare your results. Nothing is sent to a server.
Can this test tell me if my mouse is working well?
It is a simple way to spot problems: if a click does not register or you get double clicks, the button or the device may be failing. Repeat the test and compare the pace for each second.
What is a CPS test?
CPS stands for clicks per second and sums up the speed of your fingers in one number. A CPS test counts your clicks over a fixed time and divides the total by the seconds, giving you a figure you can compare between people and devices.
Here your CPS is shown live while you play, and at the end it comes with your pace second by second, so you can see whether you stayed steady or lost speed along the way.
