  4. Copy the result, repeat a roll from the history, or share the link to your dice, for example #4d6kh3.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Are the numbers really random?

We use the browser’s cryptographic generator (crypto.getRandomValues) with rejection sampling, which avoids the bias you get from using the remainder of a division. We do not use Math.random, and the result cannot be predicted. It is fine for games, draws among friends, and everyday decisions; for a draw with a big prize, use a method with witnesses.

How do I generate several numbers without repeats?

On the Number tab, turn on No repeats and set the quantity. For example, 1 to 49 with a quantity of 6 gives six different numbers, like a lottery draw. If you ask for more different numbers than fit in the range, you get a clear message.

What do 2d6+3 and 4d6kh3 mean?

It is the notation used in tabletop role-playing games: 2d6+3 rolls two six-sided dice and adds 3. 4d6kh3 rolls four dice and keeps the highest three, and kl keeps the lowest. You can also type d20, d%, or 1d20+5 advantage. Every roll has its own link, for example #2d6+3.

How do advantage and disadvantage work?

With a d20 you roll two dice: with advantage the higher one counts, and with disadvantage the lower one. We show both dice and cross out the one that was dropped. We also tell you when you roll a natural 20 or a natural 1.

Can I use it to play bingo?

Yes. The Bingo caller draws balls from 1 to 75 (with the letters B, I, N, G, O) or from 1 to 90, with no repeats, and a board marks the ones already drawn. You can undo the last ball, reset, and turn on the voice to call the numbers out. The game is saved in your browser.

Is my history saved?

Yes, but only in your browser: your settings, your recent results, and the bingo game. Nothing is sent to any server, and it is deleted if you clear the site data or select Clear history.

A 20-sided die for tabletop role-playing

The d20 is the most iconic die in tabletop role-playing games: it is used for attack rolls, skill checks, and saving throws. Here you can roll it as many times as you like, with the result chosen by crypto.getRandomValues and rejection sampling, so no face is more likely than another.

Advantage, disadvantage, and modifiers

Type 1d20adv or 1d20dis to roll two dice and keep the higher or the lower one, or add a modifier like 1d20+5. Other dice work too: d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, and d100. The history keeps every roll with its time, and you can repeat the last one.

Would you rather pick a number within a range? Use the random number from 1 to 100.
