      How to use it

      1. Pick a date from the list (Christmas, New Year's Day, Thanksgiving, July 4th, and more) or switch to “My event”.
      2. In “My event”, type a name, a date, and optionally a time. Turn on “Repeat every year” for birthdays and anniversaries.
      3. Read the calendar days left, the exact time ticking live, and how many of those days fall Monday through Friday.
      4. Save the event to find it again, select “Full screen” to show it on a screen, or select “Copy link” to share the same countdown.
      5. Under “My live countdowns” you see every saved event ticking at once. “Embed on a site” copies a code to paste the countdown into another page, and you can turn on a sound for when it reaches zero.

      Is Good Friday a holiday?

      It is not a federal holiday in the United States, but U.S. stock markets are closed, and many schools, banks, and offices close in some states and cities.

      What date is Good Friday in 2026, 2027, and 2028?

      In 2026 it falls on Friday, April 3; in 2027, on Friday, March 26; and in 2028, on Friday, April 14.

      Countdown to Good Friday

      The clock shows calendar days and the exact time until 12:00 AM on Good Friday. The date is always two days before Easter Sunday, and since Easter moves, the page recalculates it each year.

      For the rest of the weekend, pick Easter Sunday from the list in the countdown clock, or Palm Sunday for the start of Holy Week.
