Before you use them: compatibility and accessibility

These letters are Unicode symbols, not a typeface. They work for decorating a nickname or a bio, but:

  • Screen readers: may read them one letter at a time (“mathematical bold small a”) or skip them. Do not use them in text that someone needs to hear.
  • Search engines and searches: do not recognize them as normal words. Your name in a gothic style will not show up if someone searches for it.
  • Devices: if a device has no fonts for a style, it shows as empty squares. The “May not display” label warns you when that happens on yours; we cannot know what the person who receives your text will see.
  • Accents: “No accents” means the style does not support accent marks, so they were removed. “Partial” means some letters are missing in that style and stayed normal.

Step by step

How to use it

  1. Type or paste your text in the box. If you leave it empty, you will see every style with an example.
  2. Filter by family (cursive, bold, bubbles…) or mark your favorites with the star to keep them handy.
  3. Press “Copy” on the style you like. You can also tap the preview.
  4. Paste the result into your bio, your username, or a message. Pick a character limit to check that it fits.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Why do my letters show up as little squares on some devices?

These styles are not a font: they are Unicode symbols that depend on the fonts of each device. If yours does not have them, they show as empty squares. We flag the styles your device cannot display, but the person who receives your text may have a different device. The most compatible styles are bold, italic, and full width.

Do accented letters work?

Yes, in almost every style. For each accented letter we use the style’s base letter plus the accent mark. The circle, square, and parenthesis styles do not support accents: in them the accents are removed and the card says so.

Can I use them on Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, or X?

Yes, they paste like any other text. Keep in mind that many platforms count these letters as more than one character, so leave some room in bios. Pick your network’s limit from the list to see how much the result takes up.

What accessibility problems do they have?

Screen readers may read these letters as “mathematical bold small a,” and search engines do not recognize them as normal words. Use them to decorate a nickname or a bio, not for important text, names people need to search for, or messages someone has to understand with a screen reader.

Is my text saved or sent anywhere?

No. The conversion happens in your browser and your text never leaves your device. Only your favorite styles and the limit you choose are saved in this browser.

Why do some letters not change in certain styles?

Unicode does not have the full alphabet in every style. For example, small caps and subscript are missing some letters. Those stay in their normal form and the card shows a “Partial” label.

How fancy text works

Unicode includes complete mathematical alphabets in bold, italic, gothic, script, and double-struck, plus letters in circles, squares, and small caps. This tool replaces each letter of your text with its equivalent in the style you choose. Because it is text and not an image, you can paste it into any field that accepts Unicode.

Accented letters and diacritics

Most generators leave accented letters unstyled, or break them with odd spaces. Here each letter is decomposed, the base letter is converted, and the accent is added back, so accented words come out complete in nearly every style.

Where they work best

  • Bios and profile names: Instagram, TikTok, X, Telegram, and Discord.
  • Game nicknames: every game accepts a different set of characters; try simple styles such as bold or small caps.
  • Messages: WhatsApp and Telegram display most of the styles.

Avoid them in job applications, forms, formal emails, or any text that has to be found by a search engine or read aloud. Below the styles there is a section with symbols, arrows, hearts, and text faces to copy.
