Rotated PDF
How to use it
- Drop your PDF into the box or choose it from your device. You will see all the pages as thumbnails.
- To rotate the whole document, use the rotate buttons at the top. For a single page, use the arrows that appear on its thumbnail.
- If you only want to affect some pages, select them on the thumbnails or choose “Only odd pages,” “Only even pages,” “Only landscape pages,” or “Only portrait pages” in the selector.
- Check how it looks, select “Rotate PDF,” and download it.
Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. The rotation happens inside your browser and the file never leaves your device. You can use it with private documents.
Can I rotate just one page?
Yes. Each thumbnail has its own left and right rotate arrows. You can also select several pages and rotate them together with the buttons at the top.
How do I rotate only the landscape or portrait pages?
In the “Apply to” selector, choose “Only landscape pages” or “Only portrait pages.” It is ideal for scans where some sheets went in sideways: you rotate all the landscape ones at once.
Is quality lost when rotating a PDF?
No. Only the orientation in which each page is displayed changes; the content is not recompressed. Bookmarks, links, and form fields are also kept.
What does rotating left or right mean?
Right turns the page 90 degrees clockwise; left turns it counterclockwise. With the 180-degree button you flip a page that ended up upside down.
Can I rotate a password-protected PDF?
If the PDF needs a password to open, first remove it with “Unlock PDF” (you must know it). PDFs with editing or printing restrictions can be rotated without any problem.
When to rotate a PDF
Scans often come out sideways or upside down, and some photos converted to PDF end up turned. Rotating fixes the orientation in which each page is shown without altering its content, so text stays text and images keep their full quality.
A practical case
You scanned a 12-sheet contract and the odd pages came out lying on their side. Choose “Only odd pages,” select “90° right,” and check the thumbnails: every rotated page shows its angle. When you save, the PDF keeps its bookmarks, links, and form fields, and no image is recompressed.
Tips
- Mixed orientations: if a scan mixes portrait and landscape sheets, choose “Only landscape pages” and rotate them together.
- Double-sided scans: with “Only even pages” you can turn the backs that came out upside down.
- Go back with “Reset” if you make a mistake: the original file is never modified.
