Your browser is too old for this tool
It can’t read or create audio. Update Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari and try again.
Your browser doesn’t include audio WebCodecs, so its own decoder is used. It works the same with MP3, WAV, M4A, and FLAC; very long audio may take longer, and OGG isn’t available.
You can drag more files into the box above.

To create M4A (AAC), your browser downloads a ≈ 250 KB encoder once, only if it doesn’t include one. On a mobile connection this can take a few seconds.

How to use it
- Drop your audio files into the box or select them from your device. Videos work too: their audio is used. You can load up to 20 at once.
- Choose the output format and the quality. Below, you will see how large the result would be before you start.
- If you need to, open “More options” to change the sample rate, switch to mono, normalize the volume, trim the start and end, or add a title and artist.
- Select “Convert audio,” listen to the result, and download it. If you converted several files, they download together in a ZIP.
Frequently asked questions
What is FLAC?
It is a lossless format that compresses audio without removing any information, like a ZIP of the WAV. It sounds identical to the original but takes up more space than an MP3.
Is it worth converting FLAC to MP3?
If size matters, yes: the MP3 takes a fraction of the space and at 320 kbps sounds almost the same. Keep the FLAC if you plan to edit or listen on high-fidelity equipment.
Is the conversion slow?
The FLAC is decoded on your device at full quality and then encoded to MP3. Long files can take a little while; you will see the progress and can cancel.
FLAC and MP3: quality versus size
FLAC stores audio losslessly and compressed, so it sounds exactly like the original, but it takes up quite a bit more space than an MP3. To carry music on your phone or in your car, an MP3 at 320 kbps takes much less space with quality that is practically indistinguishable on most equipment.
How to do it
The output format is already set to MP3. Drop your FLAC files, choose the quality, and convert; if there are several, they download together in a ZIP. Since FLAC is lossless, this conversion is the one that introduces compression: to keep the maximum quality, save the original. For other formats, use WAV to MP3 or the audio converter.
