Your browser is too old for this tool
It can’t read or create audio. Update Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari and try again.
Your browser doesn’t include audio WebCodecs, so its own decoder is used. It works the same with MP3, WAV, M4A, and FLAC; very long audio may take longer, and OGG isn’t available.
You can drag more files into the box above.
Output format
To create M4A (AAC), your browser downloads a ≈ 250 KB encoder once, only if it doesn’t include one. On a mobile connection this can take a few seconds.

How to use it
- Drop your audio files into the box or select them from your device. Videos work too: their audio is used. You can load up to 20 at once.
- Choose the output format and the quality. Below, you will see how large the result would be before you start.
- If you need to, open “More options” to change the sample rate, switch to mono, normalize the volume, trim the start and end, or add a title and artist.
- Select “Convert audio,” listen to the result, and download it. If you converted several files, they download together in a ZIP.
Frequently asked questions
What MP3 quality should I choose?
For music, 192 kbps sounds very good and stays small; 320 kbps is the maximum. For speech, such as podcasts or voice notes, 64 or 96 kbps is enough and the file stays small.
Is quality lost when converting to MP3?
Yes, MP3 compresses with some loss. At 192 kbps or higher the difference is barely noticeable. Keep the original WAV if you plan to keep editing.
Can I convert several WAV files at once?
Yes, up to 20 at a time. They are all converted with the same settings, and you can download them separately or together in a ZIP.
From WAV to MP3: a smaller file
WAV stores the audio uncompressed, so it is large: about 10 MB per minute in stereo. MP3 compresses with some loss and brings the same minute down to one or two megabytes, with very good quality if you choose 192 kbps or higher. It is the typical change before sharing or uploading audio.
How to do it
The output format is already set to MP3. Drop your WAV files, choose the quality, and convert. You can trim the start and end or add a title and artist under “More options.” If you need a file that is lossless but lighter than WAV, try FLAC or go back to the audio converter.
