      How to use it

      1. Pick a date from the list (Christmas, New Year's Day, Thanksgiving, July 4th, and more) or switch to “My event”.
      2. In “My event”, type a name, a date, and optionally a time. Turn on “Repeat every year” for birthdays and anniversaries.
      3. Read the calendar days left, the exact time ticking live, and how many of those days fall Monday through Friday.
      4. Save the event to find it again, select “Full screen” to show it on a screen, or select “Copy link” to share the same countdown.
      5. Under “My live countdowns” you see every saved event ticking at once. “Embed on a site” copies a code to paste the countdown into another page, and you can turn on a sound for when it reaches zero.

      Frequently asked questions

      How is the date of Easter decided?

      Western Easter is the first Sunday after the first full moon on or after March 21, so it can fall anywhere from March 22 to April 25. Orthodox churches often celebrate on a different date.

      What date is Easter in 2026, 2027, and 2028?

      In 2026 it falls on Sunday, April 5; in 2027, on Sunday, March 28; and in 2028, on Sunday, April 16.

      Countdown to Easter

      The clock shows calendar days and the exact time until 12:00 AM on Easter Sunday. The page computes the date with the Gregorian calendar rules, so you never have to look it up, and it moves on to the following year after the day passes.

      Easter is a few days after Good Friday and a week after Palm Sunday. You can pick either from the list in the countdown clock, and save several countdowns to watch together.
