Step by step

How to use it

Drop one or more PDFs into the box, or choose them from your device.
Choose the compression level: Low keeps almost all the detail, Recommended balances size and quality, and Extreme shrinks as much as it can. If you need a specific size, turn on “Fit to a size” and type the MB.
Select “Compress PDF.” You will see how much each file weighed and how much it weighs now, with a before and after preview.
Download the result. If you compressed several files, you can download them all together in a ZIP.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Why compress if WhatsApp accepts large PDFs?

Because a light file sends and downloads much faster, especially on mobile data, and it does not fill up the recipient’s phone storage.

Does it change the quality of the document?

The text stays readable and selectable. Images may lose some detail if the file was very heavy. Check the before and after before downloading.

Can I adjust the limit?

Yes. Type a different value in “Smaller than” or turn off the target to choose a fixed compression level (Low, Recommended, Extreme, or Maximum).

Sharing a PDF on WhatsApp without the wait

WhatsApp lets you send documents, but a PDF with many pages or photos can be slow to upload and download. Keeping the file light makes a difference, especially on mobile data. This page starts with a 16 MB target.

Local compression without unnecessary loss

The tool reduces the size on your own device and does not upload the document to any server. It keeps the text sharp and, if the file cannot shrink that much, it warns you instead of handing you a worse result. For an even smaller size, try compress to 2 MB or open the compress PDF tool.
